Botulinum toxin

Botulinum toxin is a purified protein derived from the Clostridium botulinum bacterium. When injected into target muscles it causes a localized chemical denervation, which temporarily reduces muscle contractions and smoothes skin wrinkles in the treatment area. The effects are immediate and can last up to 4-5 months.

Botulinum toxin is a minimally invasive aesthetic procedure that offers patients a means to enhance their appearance in a subtle, natural way and maintain a healthy youthful appearance. It minimizes dynamic wrinkles by working directly on muscle activity, as opposed to dermal fillers that are injected underneath the skin and plump up the treatment areas and smooth out the wrinkles.
