Dental implants in Soho: all you need to know

Soho dental centre PS Dental Care offers dental implants to replace one, some, or even all of your natural teeth. Implants have a number of benefits over traditional dentures and bridges, and are the only way to permanently replace missing teeth. They give you back not just your beautiful smile, but also the full functionality of a healthy jaw.

What are dental implants?

Dental implants replace the root portion of one or more missing teeth. They are small titanium screws that are placed directly in your jaw bone in a minor operation, carried out here at our Soho clinic by an experienced implant dentist.

Surgery? Does this mean a lot of down time?

No. The placement of dental implants is intricately planned prior to surgery, meaning the placement process itself is actually relatively simple. Most patients at our Soho practice only require local anaesthetic, and report the procedures as being more bearable than having a tooth extracted. Any post-operative discomfort is easily alleviated with over-the-counter pain relief, and should only last a few days.

What are the benefits of dental implants?

Implants are the only permanent way to replace missing teeth, and the only option to replace the roots. They help to prevent bone resorbtion – a common side-effect of tooth loss – and hold your new teeth firmly in place, meaning you can eat a healthy and varied diet without the restrictions of standard dentures.

What options do you offer?

Your Soho implant dentist can replace a single missing tooth with one implant and one crown, several or all missing or failing teeth with a series of implants and either a bridge or dentures.

Aren’t dental implants expensive?

Whilst they may initially seem more expensive than standard dentures etc, we see implants as an investment in your future and your health. We offer a number of finance options.
